WE BUILD WHAT MATTERS
Jeff Mansell (52) and Chad Anderson (52) have been business partners since 1990 when they met selling real estate in college at Mansell and Associates. They then purchased Superior Title Company. At the time, Superior Title was a small mom and pop company. Literally, it had 5 employees, including the husband and wife owners. Over the next 15 years, Chad and Jeff built Superior Title Company into a state-wide title agency with over 400 employees, operating under multiple brands, held under the parent company of Cornerstone Title.
In 2004, Cornerstone was purchased by one of its key underwriters, Stewart Title Guarantee of Houston, Texas.
After the sale of the company, the partners took their real estate acumen and began the real estate development company, Boardwalk Industries. Over the last 15 years (through the ups and difficult downs) Boardwalk has entitled, developed and/or built over 1,000 units in both residential and commercial projects. Boardwalk takes pride in their ability to work through the difficulties of the entitlement process, acting as problem solvers through the sea of managing land rights, city codes and community concerns. In the building process, we hire consultants to bring a multi-prong approach to construction issues to achieve the best ideas available. The result is a project that is a success.
Our residential projects have been in many different product types ranging from paper lots, developed lots, active-adult housing, townhomes and single family.
Our commercial projects have been in both class A and B office buildings with more than 190,000 total square feet of office.
Currently, we are finishing two projects in the Lakeview area of Orem, Utah. The residential project of “The Fields” has 271 residential units in 2 product categories- townhomes and active adult. This totals over 1 million square feet of construction and 45 acres. This project was a massive undertaking in the development world, bringing sewer and water to the property from over a mile away. This project was a complicated opportunity, which required working with multiple city planners, cities and agencies. The result is a success (golden-child) for Boardwalk and Orem City. The Fields is now home for thousands of people.
Adjacent to The Fields, we are developing an office warehouse park of 170,000 square feet of industrial office/warehouse these two projects will take the total units developed by Boardwalk to near 1,300 in residential and nearly 500,000 sq. ft. of office and warehouse over the last 15 years.
